Tanya became a Texas Realtor® in 2003. She began her career with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. She joined The House Company, a well known successful Galveston boutique brokerage, in 2005. In May 2021 The House Company became a Better Homes & Gardens Gary Greene office. Tanya is a member of the Galveston Association of Realtors as well as the Houston Association (HAR), the National Association, and the Texas Realtors. Tanya has served on the Galveston Association's Board of Directors and as the 2012 Chairman of the Galveston MLS committee. She was elected as the 2018 President of the Galveston Association of Realtors. Tanya currently serves as the local representative on the Texas Realtors State Board of Directors. Tanya was honored as the 2012 Realtor of the Year for the Galveston Association of Realtors. She has been awarded the Five Star Realtor Award by Texas Monthly magazine for several years. Tanya has earned the special designation of Certified Residential Specialist, the highest designation awarded to Realtors in the residential sales field. She has also earned the e-Pro certification and the Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) designation. In 2014 she earned the Galveston Island Certified Tourism Ambassador designation. Becki Fitzgerald has lived in the Brazoria County and Galveston County area for more than 35 years. After purchasing her first home, Becki realized she wanted to help others through the experience. She took the leap of faith from the typical 9 to 5 job and jumped feet first into real estate. After obtaining her real estate license in 2016, Becki went to work for a local real estate firm. It was there that Becki developed a passion for working with both buyers and sellers of residential real estate throughout the city. I was born in Germany and have lived all over the world, being the daughter of an Air Force Officer. I chose to make Galveston my home. I lived in Sea Isle briefly in 1996, then moved to Atlanta, Georgia for the next 13 years. In 2009, I received my bachelor's degree in Film/Video with a minor in English at Georgia State University. I worked as a paralegal/legal assistant for the duration in Atlanta. I returned to Galveston Island, specifically Jamaica Beach, in January 2010. After bartending for nearly 10 years, I decided to finish/update my real estate classes, which I completed in 1996 in Texas. At the time, I didn't sit for the exam to obtain my license as I moved to Georgia. I am enjoying my 5th year as a Realtor at Galveston Island Real Estate. I am currently taking classes to become a broker. I hope to finish by the end of 2023. Besides working as a Realtor, I am in the process of writing a screenplay. I enjoy playing piano, guitar & drums in my 'free' time. I am involved in the community through the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the Galveston Citizens Police Alumni Association (GCPAA), as Sergeant at Arms.
